Pastor Chuck was appointed to St. Mark's UMC in June 2008 having served as Associate Pastor at Rolling Hills Community Church in Lago Vista, Texas. He is married to Emma. They have three children: Melissa, Eric, and Capri who have blessed them with eight grandchildren: Mirezha, Cayman, Audrey, Alanis, Soraya, Connor, Dylan and Hunter.
I have two passages in the Bible that I often quote: One is from Romans 12:1-2 "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is true worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
The other is from the Old Testament Book of Jeremiah, the 29th Chapter, 11th verse: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Both I wish for you in this year of 2009.
I am in the office Monday through Thursday from 8am to 12noon and I have an open door policy. I just love to talk to people about the grace of God and what it can do in your life and I love talking to folks about my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So, whether you don't know this man Jesus or are a new Christian and want to know about Him or you are a long time disciple and would like to just chat, you are most welcome.
Our worship hours, bible studies and other activities are posted elsewhere on the site. If there is something special you don't find here and want to know about at St. Mark's, please call the office at 361-575-8206. If you get a voice message, please leave your name and phone number and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.
I would personally like to invite you to be our guest. Come and see what God can do in your life.
God Bless You!
